Preparation for blocking.

Lots of students struggle to remember where their hands go when preparing to block. A simple theory that applies to most blocks is:

Prepare high to block low, prepare low to block high and prepare centre for middle blocking techniques. High to low, low to high and middle to middle.

Exercise: Take a sitting stance and practice your blocking techniques without moving your feet. Once your arms are in the right position the stepping will become a lot easier.
